Move from Christ PDF Print E-mail
The Dangerous Move Away From Christ. Many Americans, especially Christians, have been heartened by the apparent movement of our country toward God in the wake of the national tragedy at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.  From the President and the Congress to the memorial services in the National Cathedral, the call to prayer has gone forth. Even the television commentators have joined in with the “inter-faith” prayer meetings in the communities across the land. Generally the method has been to invoke the mercy and kindness of either God or a “higher power” upon this land, this moment, and the victims and people of America

But have you noticed how few times the name of Jesus Christ has been used in those prayers and eulogies?  Except for evangelical Christian church services, Jesus Christ has been by and large sidelined in these calls for help from above.
Many Christians seem oblivious to what is happening here.  When you hear the term "God", or "higher power" used over and over without reference to the name of Jesus Christ, it is at best "pre-Christian," but more likely anti-Christian (i.e., the spirit of antichrist, 1 John 4:3).

The Bible tells us that Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. (John 14:6)."  Jesus taught that "He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (John 5:23)."  These are pretty plain words.  To dishonor Jesus Christ by ignoring him as the indispensable way to salvation and a personal relationship with God is to dishonor -even deny- God Himself.
Jesus claimed to be one with the Father (John 5:18; 12:45) and made it clear that " ...  he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me (Luke 10:16)."

When political leaders and clerics call Americans to prayer and ignore the Name of Jesus because it might be offensive to some in our "multicultural" society, we are paving the way for the coming multicultural-religion, better known as "the great harlot" religion which overflows the world in Revelation chapter 17. Jesus said that prayer would be effective when prayed "in My name" and only then would the Father be glorified (John 14:13).  To disregard these teachings of Christ means one "does not have God." (2 John 1:9)

Christians, therefore, should be discerning as we hear the liberal, ecumenical spirit of our age ignore Jesus Christ while lifting up its voice to some nebulous deity called "god," "higher power," ‘supreme being," etc. Bible Prophecy informs us that, as the End Time approaches, the term "God," apart from the name of Jesus Christ, will be used in wholesale fashion to underpin a worldwide "harlot" religion- one which will actually take a violent turn against Christians and the One they worship, Jesus Christ.

The term "God" will be used prominently by the Antichrist, " who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God (2 Thessalonians 2:4)."  In the name of "God he will actually cause people to "worship the dragon [Satan] (Revelation 13:4)." Looking ahead to the times we live in, Jesus said the spiritual deception would be so great that even Christians "would be misled, if possible (Matthew 24:24)."  He warned that "an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God. (John 16:2)."  Here's what Jesus said to those who would deny Him (even by their silence, as many do today) while invoking the name of God: "If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you [the religionists] say, 'He is our God' (John 8:54)."
Though many undoubtedly leave out any mention of the Name of Jesus Christ in their pious pronouncements so as not to offend the religious plurality of our society, Christians can use this time of tragedy coupled with apparent religious awakening to lead searching hearts toward the true God by introducing them to the one and only Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

Anti-Christian
The Bible couldn't be more clear that apart from magnifying the Name of Jesus, "Christianity" is in fact anti-christian. When the ultra-religious leaders of Israel invoked the name of God, by saying " We have one Father, even God (John 8:41)," while in the same breath rejecting Christ, Jesus responded " "If God were your Father, you would love Me; for I proceeded forth and have come from God." John 8:42)

More Statements by Jesus Affirming That the Only Way to the Father is Through The Son
"But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. " Matthew 10:33

"Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. " 1 John 2:23

For all of us who believe in the Name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, we have this teaching from the Bible:

"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus," which is the only way that we can truly "do all to the glory of God"
(Colossians 3:17 & 1 Corinthians 10:31).

May we shout His Name from the housetops!
(Matthew 10:27).

You are absolutely right, by denying Christ, non believers and non professing Christians (who think that by just professing the name of God they are stealthily referring to Christ) are in fact paving the way for the coming of the anti-Christ because whoever does not confess that Jesus is He (i.e. God of the Old Testament and the New Testament) that is the anti-Christ who will many to destruction.

LET US AWAKE FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST FOR WE HAVE A DUTY HERE TO PROFESS TO WHOSOEVER IS WILLING TO LISTEN THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE AND THAT HE IS THE DOOR TO THE FATHER AMEN.

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 3: 5-6
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

John 18: 37
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

John 14: 6-7
6 JESUS SAITH UNTO HIM, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME.

Isaiah 53: 12
12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many,and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 11: 1-5
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

1 Peter 3: 3-4
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

1Peter 1: 15-20
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's WORK pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

Matthew 15:7-8

Matthew 7: 15-18
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Colossians 2: 8-10
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Matthew 15:1-3
1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Matthew 16:24-26
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

So What Is Truth?

Hebrews 11: 1-3
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11: 6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

So be watchful! For I think we as believers begin to fall short by falling back upon our own understandings.
As we long for more comfort and less confrontation. When we find ourselves slow to reach in, so that we may farther reach out towards those things hoped for and yet not seen, we begin to look again and turn once more to nothing more then those tired old familiar traditions and doctrines of men.
Not just in the spiritual realm, but from a social interactive standpoint as well. We tire of looking for that which we can not feel, hear, or see. Till in the end when we’ve died in our sins, all that we have truly done, is create a God that is much like you and me!

And That’s The Truth!
